Local
It has been great to represent the people of Dublin Bay South over the last two electoral cycles. It’s a fantastic and varied constituency that stretches across many of the cities best known neighbourhoods from Ringsend and Sandymount to Rathmines and Harold’s Cross.
My core focus for Dublin Bay South has always been to deliver better public transport, safer cycling and walking facilities, affordable housing, more greenspace and to protect nature and reduce emissions.
At the moment I’m working on a number of specific projects, alongside the Green Party Councillors for the area, Cllr Claire Byrne, Cllr Carolyn Moore and Cllr Hazel Chu.
Let me know if you’d like to work with us on any of these projects or if there’s anything I can help with in your area specifically:
Driving forward Bus Connects and Metro for an efficient public transport system
Active travel projects such as the Dodder Greenway for safer cycling and walking
Seeing more pedestrianisation projects like College Green for a low traffic calmer city centre
Ensuring we have adequate social and affordable housing on the Irish Glass Bottle site and on state land like Cathal Brugha Barracks and Dublin Port
Retrofitting our social housing complexes and private homes to make them warmer and healthier
Pushing to get the Dublin District Heating scheme started as quickly as possible as a cheaper, low carbon way to heat local homes all along the Liffey and in our centre city.
Extending the Irishtown nature reserve instead of seeing this land being used for container storage
Creating a low carbon, climate resilient Dublin and a cleaner, healthier city for all
